Küllike Namm: six years as a defendant, then a final acquittal

Law Firm NAMM Law Firm NAMM

After six years facing criminal charges, NAMM Law Firm founder Küllike Namm has given a long interview to Virumaa Teataja following her final acquittal. The Supreme Court of Estonia acquitted her in June 2026, and the state was also required to reimburse her legal costs.

In the interview, Küllike explains why she left the Estonian Bar Association while the proceedings were ongoing and why she sees prosecutors not as enemies but as parties to the proceedings with a different role. She also discusses how media coverage affects court cases, the work of a defence lawyer, client trust, billing for legal services and preparing for major criminal cases, some of which have run to 110 volumes. Finally, she talks about her free time and her promise to write a memoir with the working title „Boring Life.“

The interview was published in Virumaa Teataja on 28 August 2026 (in Estonian).
